Basic Course

Our program offers successful students full Scuba Diver Certification. This is no weekend course! During the program, and the following 2 days of open water diving, you will master the skills required to dive safely.

Our course covers a wide variety of academic topics including: the use and maintenance of SCUBA diving equipment; the physics and physiology of diving; the underwater environment; dive planning and safety, and more. Our confined water pool sessions are designed to teach you everything from basic skin diving and snorkeling skills, to essential SCUBA skills. You'll complete your certification with 2 days of openwater diving in late May or early June. All in a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. Once you're certified we offer an excellent selection of diving activities, many selected and reserved specifically for new divers.

The course fee includes:

1. Instructional fees
2. Certification costs
3. All classroom and pool time
4. Text and note books
5. Use of club equipment during openwater and pools sessions
6. Membership for 1 year in the Ajax Scuba Club (i.e. the best dive club in Southern Ontario!)

There are some costs associated with the Open Water Weekend depending where it is held. When registering for the course please ask for details.
